Here at BCS, we are passionate about being involved in the local community and have a very good understanding of the role we play in society and in the community at large. Our team of ninjas are encouraged to volunteer and give something back to the local community.
On Thursday, 15th June, Becca and Amanda spent the day at the Ageless Thanet Feelgood Factory in Margate.
Ageless Thanet are an amazing charity; providing free, high quality, local activities for 50+ residents in Margate and Ramsgate. If you are 50+ and live in the CT9, CT11 or CT12 area, you could benefit from one of their fantastic ten-week activity programmes. From art classes to Tai Chi, swimming to stone carving, Ageless Thanet are working hard to offer something for everyone, right in the very heart of the community!
As an IT organisation, we understand how advanced technology and cyber-crime has become. It can be difficult to keep up with it all! Becca and Amanda helped people with social media questions, suspicious email queries, syncing phones and tablets, signing into mobile devices, transferring photos and much more!
Becca and Amanda had the pleasure to meet a lot of people at the Feelgood Factory, including a gentleman called Eugene (photographed above). Involved with the Ageless Thanet project, Eugene is without a doubt the most positive man on the planet and an absolute joy to help with his technical questions. If you see Eugene riding his bike in the Thanet area, give him a high five!
Thank you to all the staff at the Feelgood Factory in Margate for having Becca and Amanda for the day. A wonderful space, full of friendly people and an absolute pleasure to volunteer at!
