The Pilgrims Hospice is an amazing charity; providing specialist care to patients and families across East Kent. Their vision for hospice care is that everyone should have access to the services they need, to cope with illness that cannot be cured and make the most of the time they have.

Charities rely on good people taking time out of their busy lives to raise much needed funds, so they can continue their good work and The Pilgrims Hospice is no different. One great way to raise money for The Pilgrims Hospice and have loads of fun at the same time is taking part in their annual Thanet 5K Colour Run!

Our very own Jo Llewellyn took part in the Thanet 5K Colour Run on Sunday, 14th May and we couldn’t be prouder! With a finish time of 40 minutes, she smashed it! Jo ran this in memory of her Uncle, Alan Coe, who she sadly lost 18 months ago, and this was dedicated to him.

So many people are affected by losing family members and friends to cancer. This annual event provides a positive way to not only raise much needed vital funds, but to also remember loved ones who are no longer with us.

Well done Jo! Not just for taking part in this amazing event, but for managing to get sunglasses the same colour as your medal…now that’s impressive! #style
