The Powell-Cotton Museum at Quex Park was established in 1896 and is the home to natural history specimens and cultural objects collected on expeditions to Asia and Africa, against backdrops of their natural habitats.

The Powell-Cotton Museum are looking for various volunteering roles to be filled including:
- A gardens volunteer – assisting with general garden duties or sharing carpentry and maintenance skills.
- Museum & Steward volunteer – working within the galleries and house.
- Volunteer speaker – Interacting with their diverse visitors and helping with activities and museum talks.
- Fundraising events volunteer – supporting with planning and managing their events.
They offer a basic induction program, as well as specific training and support for each area of their organisation.
