On Thursday 7th June, David and Becca went to the Kent Innovation Centre to present ‘An Introduction to Digital Marketing for Charities’ again. Georgie from Stronger Kent Communities got back in touch with us and asked if we would like to talk to some local charities.

Stronger Kent Communities is a voluntary sector partnership including Funding for All, Action with Communities in Rural Kent, KentCAN and a number of the Volunteer Centres from across Kent including Thanet Volunteer Centre. It is funded for at least three years, although it is intended to create a sustainable model of support for the Volunteering Community Sector in Kent in the longer term.

David and Becca had done the same talk back in March. However, last time we experienced a heavy hit of snow, but we still had an amazing turnout. As a few people couldn’t make the first session back in March, David and Becca promised to come back later in the year and put on another session.

It was another great morning! David spoke about awareness for charities, what is working in the digital world and how to get people to care and take action! It was also a great way for different charities to do a bit of networking and get to know each other.

The feedback we got from the participants was great. A lot of people found it very beneficial to their charity and had a lot of ideas to put in place when they got back to their desks.  A massive thank you for Georgie for putting on the event. It is also good to help out where we can.
