Duo Passwordless lets you sign in to your Windows device without typing a password, using your mobile phone, Duo Mobile, and built-in biometrics. Instead of entering a password, you authenticate with Duo Push, confirm you’re physically near your device via Bluetooth, and verify your identity with Face ID, fingerprint, or device passcode on your phone.
This creates a secure, password-free login experience that protects against phishing and credential theft.
How Passwordless Login Works
Once Duo Passwordless is enabled for your organisation:
- At your next Windows login, you’ll be prompted to set up Duo Passwordless.
- Clicking Continue begins the pairing process between your computer and phone using Bluetooth.
- Duo sends a Duo Push to your mobile device.
- You complete your phone’s biometric check (face, fingerprint, or device unlock).
- After setup, you simply approve a Duo Push + biometric check to log in — no password required.

- Duo Mobile installed on your smartphone
- Bluetooth enabled on both your PC and phone
- Biometric authentication or secure lock screen enabled on your phone
