Kate loves going off exploring with hubby. Weekends away visiting various cities; London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Brussels, etc. They also occasionally take the kids as well and enjoy family holidays around the UK and Europe

Compulsory Voluntary Work
Was asked by her daughter’s Brownie leader (Brown Owl) to visit her guide unit to test her guides for their chocolate badge. It was only 1 evening she was told, that was over 10 years ago!

She now finds herself in charge of the Guides unit as well as a Rainbows and Rangers units and then helping as and when at the Brownies unit. Recently been appointed the Division Commissioner for Thanet South which currently covers 21 local units.

Take girls away for music festivals (wellies and wristbands), sleepovers, camping, activity holidays (known to do assault courses, abseiling, giant swing, archery, rifle shooting, zip wire), day trips – zoos, museums, circus, pantomimes, Legoland, etc.

Fundraising for other charities – Race for Life, Coffee Mornings for Macmillan, Bag packing to name a few!

Hobbies
Kate loves craft especially crochet – taught herself by watching YouTube tutorials.

She has a big theatre addiction and is always at the Marlowe watching a show or on the train to London to see one there.

Hubby treated Kate at Christmas to see Tina the Musical, where they ended up in the Royal Box where royalty sits as hubby casually said to the usher that it was her treat and before they knew it, they were whisked away – she felt like a princess!

Kate is also a big Take That fan, she loves a bit of Gary, and always goes to their concerts.
