“I am so pleased with how BCS has evolved into an Employee Ownership business. At each strategic meeting I come away with the feeling of how driven and focused they all are.”
After starting her career in the banking sector, it was only natural that Sam should be the financial manager for the company. During her time at BCS she continued her studies to gain her AAT level 4 in Accountancy and attended many IT events to increase her industry knowledge.
Since childhood Sam has always loved her books and finds the best start to the day is reading in bed with a cup of tea. She even carries a book around in her handbag in case she has a spare 5 minutes during the day.
One of her favourite hobbies is walking, although she is not fussy where. She equally enjoys walking along the sandy beach near her home to a walk in the local woods on a cold winter’s day.
She loves doing jigsaws, at least 1000 pieces and especially the wasgij ones where you don’t have a picture which makes it rather difficult!
Having seen a few of these whilst on holiday in Scotland, Sam was crazy about taking close-up photos of these beautiful creatures so booked to stay on a farm to have a buggy tour to see them.
She loves going away in her ‘Bill’ the Bailey motorhome whenever she can. Even for a night out at a pub stopover for dinner with friends who also have a motorhome. As well as travelling as far north of the UK to John O’Groats she has also travelled even further north to Sweden and travelled down to Italy through France and Switzerland, to visit Venice.
