CompTIA EMEA Member & Partner Conference
Events, IT News

This week, our Managing Director Martin and Service Director Harry went to London to attend the annual CompTIA EMEA conference for its members and partners.

The conference, held in heart of the city, is a key networking opportunity for businesses within the IT sector to collaborate and continue to set the industry standard for IT professionals around the world.

CompTIA is a non-profit organisation that provides IT training and certifications; setting a baseline level of qualification for IT engineers. The core CompTIA certifications include CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ all of which are taken by our engineers here at BCS. We are proud to have been a CompTIA member for nearly a decade and we always enjoy taking part in its fantastic events organised by Estelle Johannes.

Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon gave an inspirational speech about how inclusion is so important for the industry to progress, and often we can exclude people without realising, by not being intentional enough about inclusion in the workplace. Particularly, she hit on the inclusion and promotion of women in the Technology industry, something we here at BCS feel very strongly about. Dan Scott from ConnectWise (who sits on the executive council for CompTIA) and always does a fantastic job of coordinating these networking events and received an honourable mention this year.

The event included some great networking opportunities with key vendors and solution providers, such as Sophos, ConnectWise, App River and Storage Craft. We are very glad to join these businesses in being a part of such a strong community and an ever-growing industry.

Many thanks to CompTIA for hosting such a worthwhile and relevant event every year, and for providing the IT industry with a great standard of education.
