On Sunday, 24th April, two of our lovely ninjas participated in two separate charity bike rides.

Martin Hynes cycled 90K around the coast of Kent and Canterbury to raise money for a wishing well, with other Margate Round Table members. For the wishing well to be purchased, £3,600 needs to be raised and this will be situated at Dreamland. All the money that is collected in the wishing well will be used for important causes and charities in the Thanet area.  The Mayor of Margate (Robin Edwards) sent them on their way before the cycle in their full knights’ outfits, how lovely is that?

Daniel Cook, for the second year in a row, joined the other 370 cyclists to brave the elements in the KM Big Bike Ride. Staged at Betteshanger Park near Deal, riders were offered the choice of 50K countryside or 100K coastal. Of course, Dan went for the 100K choice and helped towards raising £17,000 for a number of charitable organisations including Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, children’s road safety services and Pegasus Play-scheme.

Our ninjas have a very good understanding of the role that they play in society and the community at large, as an extension of BCS. They enjoy raising money for good causes, how great are they? Well done guys!

Keep posted for more ninjas participating in bike rides, bungee jumps, marathons and runs for charitable causes.
